Rose's Rhubarb Sauce

A delicious sauce that can be served over ice cream, or with cake and whipped cream.

1 1/2 pounds rhubarb, cut into pieces
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
Pinch of salt

Combine ingredients and simmer in covered saucepan for 10 minutes or until tender.  As it cooks, stir gently 2 to 3 times.  Sauce keeps well in the refrigerator.
